    Position Summary

    Leading the royalty team and taking ownership of all UK Film royalty related issues, tasks and projects.

    This role is offered as a 12 month fixed term contract.

    Responsibilities

    • Development and maintenance of the team’s asset management system (currently the Excel based Royalty Model, moving to the in-house Producer Reporting System in 2019):
      • Setting up newly commercially exploited film and TV assets within the system, ensuring correct fees, licensor info, reporting regularity etc are loaded.
      • Loading UK sales and costs data on a quarterly basis, ensuring accuracy of the data and reconciling to the general ledger.
      • Loading overseas at-source sales and costs data.
      • Calculating and loading TV and SVOD cash receipts within the quarter.
      • Undertaking financial adjustments and loading into the Royalty Model.
    • Taking ownership of both Shamrock and Caspian bespoke royalty reporting.  Ensuring the draft reports are provided to VP within 30 days of month close.
    • Taking ownership of The Walking Dead bespoke monthly royalty reporting.  Ensuring the draft reports are provided to key finance personnel within 5 days of month close.
    • Checking the workings on royalty reports prepared by the royalty assistant before senior management approval is sought.
    • To maintain a royalty reporting timetable which is distributed to all relevant internal customers to ensure that all milestones are hit during the quarterly processing period.
    • To provide quarterly overage information for accurate Royalty cash forecasting.
    • Ad hoc commercial input to improve contracts including acting as advisor to Legal / Acquisitions during contract negotiations 
    • Licensor audit liaison and management.
    • Line Management of Royalty Assistant ensuring:
      • All outgoing quarterly, semi-annual and annual royalty reporting is distributed accurately and on time.
      • All licensor invoices for balances in overage are processed into the payments system in a timely manner.
      • All incoming intercompany reporting is received and invoiced within month of receipt.
      • All manual royalty reports are updated on a quarterly basis and reconciled to the general ledger.
      • All outgoing emails are prepared in advance of the royalty distribution.
      • All the data held within the Royalty Team’s Master List is updated and maintained accurately (closing balances, invoices received, change of contact details etc).
      • All documents are provided to senior management for approval prior to the distribution date and to tenaciously chase approval to avoid late reporting.
