    Entertainment One’s Family & Brands Division is now gearing up for the launch of its newest property, Ricky Zoom, a brand new animated pre-school TV series from the producers of PJ Masks.

    Position Summary

    The Director, Social Media will assume leadership and responsibility for directing social media strategies for a portfolio of children’s brands globally, including preschool hits Peppa Pig and PJ Masks. Your role will focus on expanding brand reach, growing brand engagement, championing trends and opportunities, analysing global effectiveness, and transitioning social strategies and execution in-house.

    Responsibilities

    • Leading and directing social media strategies for all brands globally (all platforms excluding video-led services) in all stages of the brand lifecycle (from launch to maturity)
    • Identifying social media trends and opportunities proactively and reacting quickly and dynamically to any changes in the platform algorithms
    • Directing social media processes, delivering guidelines, research, cost efficiencies and best practice, and ensuring these are used by all staff and partners of our brands
    • Overseeing the development of creative materials for global social platforms based on global brand strategies
    • Managing and driving social media agencies, or a team of in-house social media managers, to ensure that we are getting strong service and results in each market
    • Collaborating with brand, marketing, research, paid, digital and commercial functions of eOne to ensure that our social media presence cohesively and properly amplifies our brands
    • Setting measurement metrics and working closely with our Research department to interrogate social data to gain strategic insights whilst regularly auditing and reviewing our strategies so that they are fit for purpose
    • Identifying any 3rd party data or automation tools that we should be using to gain competitor insights or to help streamline global processes
    • Working closely with our Paid Media Manager on the running and optimisation of paid social campaigns, using these insights to enhance future strategy

    Key Competencies

    • Significant experience of directing social media strategies for family brands globally, with strong understanding of the role of social media in global family brand strategies
    • A deep understanding of the social media landscape, including platforms (existing and emerging), algorithms, challenges and opportunities, ideally on an international scale
    • Demonstrable leadership and relationship management skills
    • Outstanding organisational and communication skills
    • An ability to drive innovation
    • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with digital metrics
    • Highly collaborative and team-oriented
    • Strategic thinker able to be constantly aware of the bigger picture whilst demonstrating flexible attitude to regional approaches
    • Ability to enhance potential (self and team) by producing new ideas and solutions
