    Position Summary

    Overall global responsibility for operating expenses (including salaries) across the Film and Television business. Responsible for actuals reporting and analysis, budget management and forecasting and resource strategic planning.


    • Partner with senior level executives as the primary point of contact for Finance on overhead and resource strategic planning and execution.
    • Leading the development and ownership of consistent planning, budgeting and reporting processes across resource strategic planning and real time resource reporting.
    • Drive prioritization of spend and identify hunting grounds to drive improved resource utilization, evaluating the business' operating results and recommends strategies for improvement, providing complex financial insights, guidance and direction for VP and SVP roles across functions
    • Monitor and ensure consistent tracking of operating expenses within the division.
    • Responsible for month end accruals and prepayments to ensure accuracy of recorded costs in the FT division as well as accuracy of intercompany allocations to other divisions.
    • Ownership of monthly/quarterly reporting packs and variance analysis against budget and forecasts, including commentary for both FT division and individual departments.
    • Develop and own numerous schedules that can provide various levels of details to various stakeholders.

    Key Competencies

    • 7 + years financial management experience at a similar level
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and professional designation
    • Highly organised with project management skills, and drive to prioritise diverse tasks and meet/exceed objectives
    • Ability to create and build strong working relationships across divisions, functions Demonstrated ability to analyse complex financial information, draw conclusions and present findings to multiple stakeholders.
    • Deep knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, and reporting requirements
    • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
    • Computer literate, especially strong in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups etc)
    • Able to cope in a fast paced environment under pressure with tight deadlines, simultaneously handling multiple projects.
    • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
