    Position Summary

    To develop strong, effective relationships across all key UK retail channels and individual retailers across all categories to maximise product listings, store distribution/online visibility, sell through and secure additional brand exposure through marketing initiatives/promotions.


    • Retail account/channel management: Regular dialogue with buyers to; understand their key focuses, priorities, timings; deliver insight back into the business relating to their strategies, objectives, trends; and return of regular sales data/category performance to help inform and align with UK licensing strategy. To also keep buyers fully aware of new developments and opportunities across the eOne brand portfolio (immersion days, showcases).
    • Working closely with the Licensing Directors and liaising with key category buyers/retail licensing teams, to seek out new opportunities and gaps to drive growth (new channels, accounts, categories, products)
    • Supporting SVP on top to top strategic retail meetings to secure commercial growth and inform tactical product and marketing plans
    • Management of retail marketing manager; leading and supervising the development of the retail marketing strategy per brand supporting all licensed categories at retail with cross promotional campaigns and other retail initiatives to maintain and maximise brand presence and sell in/sell-through across the portfolio of eOne’s preschool properties, deliver incremental product placement as well as promotional and advertising support and provide essential campaign evaluation and analytical support and planning in order to aid the continued growth and expansion of all brand licensing programmes.
    • Working with the Retail Directors across the rest of the eOne business to identify and implement best practice strategies and tactical plans.
    • Working with Licensing Director Softlines on UK (and International Licensing teams – US, EMEA, LATAM, ANZ - for multi territory) DTR relationships including Next, M & S, H & M, Zara, Uniqlo
    • Overall responsibility for allocation and management of retail marketing budget
    • Identifying new retail opportunities/channels, setting and implementing growth strategy to maximise presence and sales across brands
    • Conduct and share retail insights & consumer dynamics - buying habits & trend research etc
    • Working with SVP UK Licensing, International Licensing and Marketing teams, input on and support multi territory retail strategies – ie Amazon, Aldi, Lidl etc
    • Analysis of licensees net sales/market share data as well as external research and insights (ie NPD, License Tracker, Brand Trends etc) to drive improvements by brand, across categories/with individual licensees
    • Understanding of retail buying calendars, seasonal lead-times and decision influences to help shape UK retail strategy.
    • Assist in the preparation of targeted presentations to pitch, support or launch licensing programmes or specific category areas.

    Key Competencies

    • Have previous commercial & marketing experience for licensed consumer products as either a Licensor, Licensee or Retailer
    • Be an engaging and inspiring presenter and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Be a natural rapport builder, able to develop strong working relationships with buyers at all levels
    • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills
    • The ability to multi-task in a busy environment
