    Position Summary

    Position:  Director Facilities, Canada.      

    Location: Toronto


    The Facilities Director ensures the smooth operation of the Canadian office within the parameters of all government, regulatory and corporate governance requirements. This position, which works with internal and external Entertainment One partners, ensures the optimal operation of building systems to support a healthy, efficient and safe work place within a defined budget.


    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, key business partners and leaders throughout the Global and Regional organizations/networks.
    • Responsible for negotiating contractual requirements, making selection recommendations, managing the implementation phase and adherence to contractual commitments.
    • Responsible for the repair, planning, design and allocation of space, implementation of required construction and/or renovation due to expansion or reorganization, ensuring all facilities’ systems are fully operational and according to corporate regulatory requirements.
    • Responsible for planning and managing all office moves.
    • Responsible for vendor management for required services including; office supplies, cafeteria services, cleaning services, telecommunications, conference lines, copiers etc.
    • Monitor and oversee facilities operations including meeting room setup, office equipment maintenance, supply re-stocking.
    • Liaise and work with property management to ensure services are being met and updated on changes/activities within building.
    • Responsible for the administration and maintenance of security access cards. Responsible for developing, updating and communicating relevant policies and procedures to management and staff, including but not limited to: Fire Escape Plan, and Records Management Policy.
    • Oversight of Health & Safety Committees and Emergency Preparedness plans for all Canadian offices.
    • Responsible for ensuring all facilities initiatives reflect the organization’s branding.
    • Responsible for the coaching and management of direct reports.
    • Execute projects as assigned by the Executive Team.
    • Work collaboratively with Managers, Human Resources and IT

    Key Competencies

    • Must possess 5 years working in Facility management field, preferably in a publicly-traded, medium-sized, global organization
    • Broad knowledge of voice, data, and electrical installations
    • Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes and legislative requirements
    • Customer service oriented
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Excellent skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Office
    • Demonstrated initiative to take charge and work independently
    • Must have superior organization skills and be detail oriented
