    Position Summary

    Multi-skilled IT professional with hands-on experience in support and delivery of IT projects.  Must-have skills include VMWare, networking, Windows Server, and Active Directory experience.  This role requires the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues.  Solid knowledge of TCP/IP networking & related network services.  The individual should be motivated, willing to learn new skills and work within a team to accomplish organizational goals.

    Responsibilities

    Working within the eOne IT Infrastructure Team, the VMware Analyst is responsible for effective monitoring, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems, hardware and software related infrastructure.  The successful candidate will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, application software and related procedures are well maintained, enabling staff to work without technical disruption.  After hours on-call support is a requirement of this role.

     

    Additional responsibilities include:

     

    • Problem Management & Escalation
    • Technical documentation creation and maintenance
    • Ensure an exceptional client experience
    • System Health Checks & Reports
    • Execution of DR testing and resolution of any areas of improvement identified
    • Be available to assist teams across multi sites 24/7
    • Ongoing professional development, education, and certification advancement
    • Provide expert technical support & assistance to remote sites administrators

    Key Competencies

    Knowledge of Data Centre, Cisco networks, firewalls, security practices, storage and virtualization platforms.

     

    • VMware vSphere
    • Windows Server 2008/2012
    • Server maintenance
    • Network (LAN, WLAN and WAN)
    • SAN, NAS and Storage
    • Network Monitoring and Operations
    • Office 365 Administration an asset
    • Cloud Solutions and/or Managed Service Provider experience is an asset

     

    Education/Certifications:

     

    • University Degree and/or related Technical Diplomas are strongly encouraged
    • Current VMware certification
    • Microsoft certification
    • 2+ years’ virtualization solution & support
    • 4+ years’ experience in IT; with server, network management and troubleshooting

    Location:  This role will require travel between Toronto and Brampton locations
