    Position Summary

    The Desktop & LAN Support Analyst role provides assistance and support to local and remote users.  In this role, the incumbent is responsible for a wide range of activities related to the installation, setup and maintenance of hardware and software used for the efficient operations of Entertainment One's business.  You will become familiar and comply with Entertainment One's policies and its directives related to information systems and technology.  


    • Provide on-site support to users with hardware and software related problems
    • Escalation of issues to vendors
    • Remotely assist users with setup, software installation and trouble-shooting issues
    • Provide users with remote logon and access assistance
    • Support phone system, LAN and WAN environments
    • Work with the company helpdesk ticketing system to monitor, track and escalate tickets, ensuring SLAs are not breached.
    • Install PCs, Printers and other office/computer related hardware.
    • Computer room support and maintenance
    • Manage and maintain SolarWinds, eOne ‘s monitoring software
    • Assist with the testing & implementation of new solution
    • Provide technical support with reports, updates and technical details
    • Create timely monthly reports
    • Address system alerts and responses
    • Available for on-call support on a 24 X 7 basis when required

    Key Competencies

    • Experience with Office 365
    • Experience with PowerShell & Scripting
    • Proficient in Microsoft Windows OS environments
    • Familiarity with MS Active Directory & GPO  
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite of products
    • Ability to work with end users and technical staff comfortably
    • Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software problems
    • Good organizational skills, with excellent oral and written communication
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced team oriented environment, supporting multiple sites and multiple projects
    • Good working knowledge of various network technologies including cabling topologies, gateways, routers, switches and interconnecting LAN/WAN communication protocols such as Ethernet
    • Experience with ticketing systems
    • French language skills would be an asset, but not mandatory
    • Minimum four years’ experience in a computer Administrator/Support environment
    • Minimum of high school Diploma
    • Although infrequent, must be able to travel to assigned locations when required
