    Position Summary

    The role will require a qualified candidate with strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and how to interpret and apply them. The role requires experience of multi-currency consolidation to work within the Group Financial Planning & Analysis team and the Group Reporting team. This role has a broad remit and the person will be involved in financial reporting and planning activities.



    • Responsibility for
      • accounting for share-based payments and calculation of IFRS 2 charge;
      • calculation of basic and diluted earnings per share (based on detailed calculation of basic and diluted WANOS).
    • Providing significant support for the preparation of the Group’s annual and half yearly financial statements and agreement of these with the external auditor; ensuring all necessary additional information for disclosures is collected and in line with the latest IFRS;
    • Review of Group’s local statutory accounts for compliance and completeness;
    • Update and maintain Group Finance Manual;
    • Training on IFRS and application in the eOne world-wide finance teams;
    • Support for other ad hoc projects such as implementation IFRS 16;
    • Assist the Group Reporting Manager on the monthly consolidation;
    • Process and timetable documentation on the reporting and planning activities.



    • Preparation of the Group multi-currency consolidation for Budget, Forecast and Plan Years, which are revised twice a year;
    • Each process involves:
      • a preparation stage: assistance with sending out detailed instructions, working with System’s Accountant to ensure the submission workflows are set up and preparation of group consolidation journals and associated tax packs;
      • a submission stage: managing and reviewing business units submissions and resubmissions to ensure they meet expectations, with business unit liaison throughout the process;
      • a consolidation stage: solely responsible for preparing and reviewing the Group consolidation;
      • a reporting stage: preparing reports for management and the Board.
    • Throughout the processes, it will be necessary to work closely with the Business Analysts within the Group Planning & Analysis team to ensure the consolidated Group numbers meet expectations.

    Key Competencies


    • Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and how to interpret and apply them
    • Qualified ACA/ACCA 1+ years post qualification experience
    • Experience of preparing/auditing multi-currency consolidation
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Good analytical and problem solving skills
    • Strong time management skills
    • Good understanding of reporting systems
    • Self-motivated with proactive approach to work
