    Position Summary

    Assistant Controller


    • Budgeting and Forecasting
      • Lead the preparation of the annual budget and semi-annual reforecasts for global performance of eOne titles, ensuring all deadlines are met
      • Oversee submissions to corporate consolidation system
      • Prepare variance analysis and required supplemental schedules
      • Oversee and assist with preparation of cash flow reporting and analysis


    • Accounting and Financial Reporting
      • Assist Controller with all aspects of monthly financial reporting close, ensuring all tasks are completed when due and deadlines are met
      • Prepare and review monthly support schedules for review by Controller, including research of unusual balances
      • Oversee submissions to corporate consolidation system
      • Prepare variance analysis and supplemental schedules
      • Oversight and review of balance sheet reconciliations
      • Assist with Amortization Model for financial reporting and forecasting
      • Coordinate with Participations Department on post release ultimates, advising Controller of changes
      • Oversee development cost reporting to Business Affairs Department
      • Coordinate with Production Finance to properly account for and forecast costs of production
      • Oversee day-to-day accounting and reporting for partners
      • Assist Controller to ensure documentation of, and adherence to, all accounting processes and procedures to ensure appropriate accounting controls

    Key Competencies

    • 7-10 years accounting and financial reporting experience required
    • Experience preparing and reviewing budgets & forecast, including variance analysis
    • Work history with both large and small companies, entertainment companies a plus
    • Foreign currency accounting experience preferred
    • Experience with sophisticated financial accounting systems required, financial systems implementation experience a plus
    • 3 to 5 years supervisory experience
    • CPA preferred
    • Organized and flexible, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
