    Position Summary

    A brand new position for eOne Family and Brands, the Social Media Director will assume leadership and responsibility for directing the social media strategies for eOne Family and Brands in the US & Canada, expanding brand reach, growing brand engagement, championing trends and opportunities, analysing effectiveness, and transitioning social strategies and execution in-house.

    Responsibilities

    • Leading and directing social media strategies for all brands in the US & Canada (all platforms excluding video-led services) in all stages of the brand lifecycle (from launch to maturity)
    • Innovating and identifying social media trends and opportunities proactively and creatively
    • Directing social media processes, delivering guidelines, research, cost efficiencies and best practise, and ensuring these are used by all staff and partners of our brands
    • Overseeing the development of creative materials for US & Canada social platforms based on North American brand strategies
    • Managing and driving social media agencies to ensure that we are getting strong service and strong results in each market
    • Setting measurement metrics and reviewing social media analytics to ensure that our social media presence and strategy is delivering significant and appropriate social media engagement
    • Collaborating with brand, marketing, digital and commercial functions to ensure that our social media presence cohesively and properly amplifies our brands

    Key Competencies

    • Significant experience of directing social media strategies for family brands in North America, specifically the US
    • Strong understanding of family brands and the role of social media in US/CAN brand strategies
    • Deep understanding of the social media landscape including platforms (existing and emerging), challenges and opportunities, ideally on an international basis 
    • Demonstrated leadership and relationship management skills
    • Outstanding organisational and communication skills
    • Proactive and innovative
    • Highly collaborative and team-oriented
    • Strategic thinker able to be constantly aware of the bigger picture whilst demonstrating flexible attitude to regional approaches

    In this role you will achieve:

    • Complete establishment of effective social media strategies across multiple non-video platforms that contribute effectively and cost efficiently to brand growth, exposure and engagement
    • Delivery of full assessments of opportunities, challenges, trends and future developments for all brands across all family genres
    • Delivery of full assessments of current social media platforms used for eOne family brands and ongoing delivery of recommendations for improvement and development
    • Ongoing delivery of full assessments of costs and analytics to inform ongoing strategies
    • Establishment and assessment of various marketing strategies across social media platforms
    • Become the social media expert in-house and disseminate knowledge, strategies and full guidance to relevant marketing and commercial teams in the territory.
