    Position Summary

    Director, Planning will play an integral role in the forecasting/budgeting processes, home entertainment/TV commercial reporting and analyses, and ultimates management. 

    Responsibilities

    • Lead quarterly planning process for Canada home entertainment and US Film. Maintain planning models updated with most recent acquisitions, release date and ultimates information.
    • Work with the key operational stakeholders to prepare Annual Budget.
    • Provide monthly home entertainment revenue and margin variance analysis. Establish and track key operational and strategic performance metrics.
    • Work with home entertainment/TV sales team to maximize title-by-title sales and profitability.
    • Maintain and track ultimates and provide monthly ultimates updates to Finance team for film asset amortization and royalties accrual.

    Key Competencies

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
    • Minimum 7-10 years of work experience in similar role.
    • Computer literate, especially strong in Excel.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex financial information, draw conclusions and present findings to multiple stakeholders.
    • Attention to detail in all areas of work, good organization, time management and prioritizing skills.
    • Able to cope in a fast paced environment under pressure with tight deadlines, simultaneously handling multiple projects.
    • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
