Position Summary

A 12 month fixed term contract role to drive and execute an effective growth strategy across a specific region and manage other Sales personnel for other territories. Identify opportunities to sell new, returning and catalogue product for both scripted and non-scripted TV shows. To manage a small self-contained unit across the region to ensure budgets are achieved and deals executed to the highest possible standard.


  • Responsible for TV sales to broadcasters ensuring all existing relationships are maintained whilst looking to develop new business relationships to ensure maximum exploitation of all programming.
  • Source and develop new business relationships and clients in order to expand our program sales business to new broadcast partners.
  • Develop strategies and plans for various TV Markets such as Mipcom and LA Screenings.
  • Travel to TV Markets (MIPTV, MIPCOM where advised) and territories within remit on a regular basis, in order to develop and build relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Review and assess international potential of new program acquisitions by providing feedback and sales projections. Provide input into overall distribution strategies including offering reliable market feedback on titles and viable commercial targets and insight into development.
  • Assist in developing direct reports with a coaching, mentoring approach.
  • Establish and maintain ‘best in industry’ reputation with broadcasters.
  • Be the key contact for Canada support functions and maintain those relationships.
  • Responsible for inputting TV sales projections estimates.
  • Provide information for budgetary updates.
  • Provide daily reporting on deal negotiations, weekly and monthly reports on sales deals, target clients and market developments including various TV spreadsheets from the Canadian or the UK management teams.
  • Maintain work list status document and various other documentation and reports as required.

Key Competencies

  • A good international network and maintains an established network of clients and contacts in their region.
  • Specific market knowledge of key broadcasters and their programming ambitions.
  • Organisational skills to oversee windowing product though multiple sales cycles, inventory management and building and managing the region’s budget.
  • Extensive experience in TV sales, including demonstrable evidence of sound sales techniques and excellent results.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the broadcasting environment including specific market knowledge regarding genres and territories.
  • Highly motivated and driven to exceed targets.
  • Collaborative, influential approach to problem solving; able to work readily and easily with many different personalities and nationalities.
