Position Summary

The Audit Royalties Inbound Analyst will be responsible for inbound and outbound royalty statements and the corresponding payment of earned royalties to & by licensors.  In conjunction with that, you will also be responsible for overseeing independent auditors while they examine the books in relation to Royalty statements provided. Some ad-hoc projects as requested.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all audit related inquiries submitted by auditors
  • Coordinate with Finance Department regarding audit matters by obtaining documentation in response to auditor fieldwork inquiries
  • Advise management of auditors fieldwork findings and assist in researching auditor claims
  • Achieve strong working knowledge of Royalty system reports
  • Analyze and interpret contracts for licensors and other third parties
  • Prepare quarterly/monthly royalty reports for licensors and other third parties
  • Respond to and resolve any issues related to royalties payments and statements
  • Establish relationships with distributors worldwide in order to receive inbound reporting on a timely basis.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and assist in process improvement projects as needed
  • Accomplish tasks on time and contribute to the team by taking on and/or assisting with special projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned

Key Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in similar capacity
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced environment under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.  Also, have the ability to handle multiple responsibilities at the same time.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Have the ability to effectively deal with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently

 

Technical Competencies

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications: Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups etc)
  • Proficiency with Databases
  • Strong ability to adapt to and quickly learn new software
