Position Summary

This role will be actively involved in preparing accounting schedules and providing support for the production accounting team and rest of finance team, as required. 


Production Accounting Duties -

  • Assist with month-end reporting
  • Input and process payments
  • Prepare and file GST/HST registration forms and remittances
  • Filing of all documents for multiple Productions as well as Corporate Finance
  • Coordinate couriers for the Production Finance Team
  • Locating and copying filed documentation for intercompany billings and for audits
  • Various other related duties/special projects

Other Responsibilities -

  • Prepare rollover of binders and files for next fiscal year for all companies, and move previous year to internal storage
  • Research and provide backup for auditors, as needed.
  • Filing, scanning, and indexing of the accounting binders.
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as required.


Key Competencies

  • University degree in Business Administration (major in accounting or business preferred)
  • Self-starter; motivated; positive attitude; works independently and as a team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a high degree of accuracy
  • Sound analytical thinking; solid organization, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Good problem identification and independent resolution ability
  • Able to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Flexibility to work overtime during monthly peak periods and year-end, when required
