Position Summary

A 12 month fixed term contract working in a team of three to produce management accounting, reporting and analysis for the UK’s largest independent content distributor. eOne is a global business, being listed in the FTSE 250.

Responsibilities

Main purpose of job

 

Working within the combined FP&A and Management Accounting team, (team of 12) this role will undertake a variety of tasks and processes which contribute to the production of Management Accounts and all associated deliverables to the UK management team, Global Film Group and Group Finance Function.

 

 

Key accountabilities

 

Management Accounting

 

  • Responsible alongside the finance manager for month end flash reporting, including submission to Group Finance and Film Group.
  • Responsible for month end journal preparation and postings for key areas of the P&L and balance sheet for the UK Film business.
  • Responsible alongside the finance manager for all month end reporting and submissions to Group Finance.
  • Complete amortisation and royalty postings on a by title basis for month end for review by the Finance Manager
  • Lead responsibility for intercompany accounting, including liaising with other eOne territories and the production of monthly intercompany sub-distribution reports.
  • Complete journals, recharges and full reconciliations for all intercompany territories.
  • Responsible for hedge accounting
  • Responsible for co-ordinating month end timetables with AP and AR.
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for review by the Finance Manager.
  • Responsible for overhead accounting including accruals and prepayment management and variance analysis.
  • Responsible for accounting for the International Home Entertainment Division, including revenue and cost accruals and liaising with 3rd party distributors on a monthly basis
  • Management of Investment in content spend including forecast for the 16 week cashflow.

  • Support with additional analysis, including audit preparation and half year / full year reporting.
  • Engage with process and system review and development

Other Requirements

 

  • ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified
  • A minimum of 3 “B” grades at A level
