Position Summary

Situated within the eOne Family team in London, the position plays a key role in the growth of a multi-faceted and successful family entertainment business.


The successful candidate will join a division of 100+, lead and grow a team of 14+, and strategically oversee eOne Family’s operational Marketing function across EMEA, ASIA and LAT AM territories, trade and live events, working closely with the Head of Global Brand & Marketing, as well as other brand, marketing and commercial Heads.


The successful candidate will have significant marketing experience across a portfolio of family brands within the licensing industry and be able to demonstrate exceptional knowledge of the competitive landscape across multiple territories as well as a proactive approach to brand, marketing and commercial requirements plus a full understanding of the relationship between commercial and marketing / brand. They will bring fresh ideas to the business and be able to proactively analyse and revise strategies relevant to growth and change, localising brand plans to suit individual region requirements. They will have experience of leading and growing a multi-faceted team and be able to motivate team members at all levels, stimulating new ideas and passion throughout the team. They will need to be a strong, collaborative team player at all times and demonstrate flair and originality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic leadership of the operational marketing functions within the eOne Family division, planning the strategic growth of the international brand business across ASIA, EMEA and LAT AM territories in conjunction with Head of International Licensing, as well as managing trade marketing and live events brand functions
  • Responsible for management of a growing team of 14, currently including 5 direct reports and consisting of
    • Direct management of the ASIA marketing function, based in Hong Kong
    • Direct management of the EMEA and Lat Am marketing team, based in London and Sau Paulo
    • Direct management of the Senior Trade Marketing Executive
    • Direct management of the Live Events Brand team, in conjunction with the Head of Product Development
  • Work very closely and collaboratively with other key Senior Executives across the division to ensure that a long term vision for eOne brands is developed, promoted and communicated clearly across key operational marketing functions
  • Work very closely with the brand teams to drive international sensibility into global brand development discussions with the brand teams and ensure that brand strategies are regionally relevant and strategically adapted by the operational marketing team
  • Early input into brand development strategies to highlight regional needs and ensure relatable to all operational marketing functions
  • Collaborate with the Australian and USA marketing functions to understand how strategies and planning can be aligned and shared, in conjunction with the global brand teamsShare analysis and success with wider marketing teams and brand functions
  • Continuously evaluate those strategies with the team members to ensure they remain fit for purpose and adapt approaches quickly where needed
  • Analyse, formulate and warrant that both short term and long term strategies are executed that result in strong brand growth and sustainability across multiple territories
  • Constantly acquire knowledge, adapting to needs and challenges as well as stimulating fresh ideas
  • Strong collaborative executive input into wider business needs and functions, including but not limited to brand, licensing, product development, TV sales and digital
  • Constantly ensure that the competitive landscape is fully researched and understood across the EMEA, Lat AM, Asia regions as well as trade and live events globally
  • Safeguard strong communication at all times between functions and teams, identifying any gaps in communication processes and rectifying quickly and efficiently
  • Ensure comprehensive feedback on all aspects of operational marketing is disseminated to other senior executives and that collaboration is undertaken at all times for strategic growth
  • Manage direct reports to ensure they are delivering high quality, strategically relevant and long terms plans and visions across their functional areas
  • Manage, motivate and develop the immediate team members at all levels, ensuring that each individual is achieving their potential and working as effectively as possible
  • Prioritise team member workloads effectively, understand and communicate priorities clearly
  • Regularly identify team development and training needs
  • Undertake regular, effective and visionary team meetings
  • In conjunction with the Head of Product Development, manage and effectively grow, as required, the newly formed Live Events Brand Management function and safeguard a solid relationship between the events and international marketing teams
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all eOne Family brands at all times across all relevant functions including and beyond marketing
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that operational marketing strategy documents and roll out plans are well drafted and shared regularly

Essential Job Functions:


Working with the direct reports to ensure that:

  • Marketing and brand plans in each EMEA, Lat Am and Asia territory are adjusted and reviewed according to performance and requirements and tailored in close collaboration with the relevant Licensing teams
  • Trade Marketing, spanning PR, events, advertising, awards and sponsorship for the Family division, is conducted strategically to support the Divisions brand and commercial objectives
  • ive Events Brand Marketing strategies are in place with external partners and being managed to a high level with consistency across processes
  • Live Events tiered annual programmes are developed and produced for global dissemination
  • ASIA, EMEA and Lat Am marketing strategies are aligned with brand management, commercial and retail plans and local needs are fed into the global brand management teams

  • Long term visions and strategies are in place and clearly communicated to agents, licensing teams and other stakeholders across ASIA and International territories
  • Budgets for the operational functions are effectively managed, including assessment of travel requirements and budgets
  • A strong executional marketing mix is in place across all key territories, planned in advance and communicated clearly
  • Brand Management teams are aware of the needs of the other marketing operational teams and in a timely and collaborative manner
  • Strong and collaborative communication processes are in place, working well and reviewed regularly between Marketing and Licensing teams
